Americans... Need I say more?

Top ten reasons why Gay marriage is wrong:

1) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning.

2) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

3) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven’t adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.

4) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn’t changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can’t marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.

5) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Brittany Spears’ 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.

6) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn’t be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren’t full yet, and the world needs more children.

7) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

8) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That’s why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.

9) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

(one of the saddest parts about our society is that these arguments, before the humorous common sense, are the real reasons why people can’t accept gay marriages.)

REPOST THIS IF YOU BELIEVE THAT GAY MARRIAGE SHOULD BE LEGAL! EITHER EVERYONE HAS EQUAL RIGHTS OR NO ONE DOES! THAT’S WHY IT SAYS “ONE NATION, UNDER GOD, WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL”

Yeah, It's very sarcastic...
But apparently these are some of the reasons that presented during this whole fight for gay rights.

I'm not sure how sarcastic it is... But I'd say, it's heavily sarcastic.

*Is giggling hysterically* I'll be posting this in my journal. <3 It really is silly listening to politicians rant the same reasons on national television. Though I guess it provides for minimal entertainment, if anything. xD

Woah, thanks! But remember, I wasn't the original person to post this... But at least a message is being heard. :)

Yeah, bloody annoying politicians... They have no idea how to do their job, they're just spokes-people trying to look good so people will vote for them.
It is mildly entertaining to see them stagger a response during an interview...

Haha, yes. It's hilarious when a real person with their values and priorities set realistically talk to a politician. The poor bastards start babbling and making up the most inaccurate excuses for their behavior. xD That's quality TV if you ask me.
